Texas State Fair

Alyona was working in Dallas on Thurs and Fri so we picked up Chris Sat morning to drive to Dallas for the State Fair. Met her at the hotel room, then hopped on the commuter train for the 10 min ride to the fairgrounds.

It was crowded, as expected, but not unbearably so. We bought a turkey leg, sausage on bun, original corndogs that were first made at this fair in 1950 or something, ice cream, Belgian waffle with strawberries, fried Reese's cup and ice cream and what else? I think that was it. The food was ok/good, not great.

We rode the Ferris Wheel, very high and gave us a good view. Rick's hip started hurting and Alyona's cute cowboy boots started hurting her feet, so it was time to go. We did get stamped so we could return if wanted. Nobody wanted.

It was fun to do once, but I don't need to do it again.
