Home

Back to home to Texas. I guess that's home. At least it's where I hang my hat. But it is nice to be back.
My ears started ringing louder yesterday, my headache  is returning but not as bad. My head and ears do always get messed up when I fly.

All the trees are completely out, Rick planted some flowers, it all looks so nice. Every year for the past 3 years I have been in St George for the spring and seem to miss some part of the flowering, budding, leafing. Oh, well.

I miss the kids and ggrrls, but so glad to be home. Rick is glad to have me home also.

Yippee

I leave St George today. Scott and Jessica are driving down to get me, then a quick turn around and head back. I feel super bad for them coming; I'm just so tired of the shuttle, but really, that is the best solution.

Thank you for being such a good son, Scott. And Jason for coming and staying a few days and visiting (and for the late night ice cream drumstick run, but really, was that a favor?). And also Chris and Alyona. Chris has come to get me like this before also.

Thanks for being such great kids!!

Oh, and Paige and Kincade for giving me 3 beautiful ggrrls. I'm so glad they agreed to be the guardians of my ggrrls.

Ggrrls in Easter dresses and bunnie ears

I'm surprised I found these dresses that match in all the sizes they need. When Stella moves up to 5, instead of 5T, I probably won't be able to find matching clothes anymore. I'm sure Cathie (Memaw) got them the adorable bunnie ears.

Shopped till I dropped

I have walked and shopped every mall, indoor and outdoor, every store in St George. I have read books upon books from the library. I have walked around the temple - altho I haven't walked as much as I usually do. I like to walk early morning and haven't been able to do that here. I'm now officially bored.

Jason et al come tomorrow, Chris and Alyona travel on home after dropping Jason to us. We are going to Tuachan for Easter service, really looking forward to it. If it gets too much for mom we will just leave.

Tradition for we three (Grandmother, Yvonne, and Jason) is to eat at Olive Garden, which we will do but it will probably be take out.

Jason leaves on Mon, Gary arrives on Mon, and I leave on Tues. I have mostly enjoyed my time with mom.

Visitors

Cindy and Crikette came Sat evening, Rashelle had an important piano recital for her college classes. Mom loved that Crikette sat in with her and chatted and watched tv. Cindy also. I could tell it really perked her up a bit.

She didn't get to bed until 10:30, so slept in on Sun. We weren't going to go to church anyway because it was Stake Conf.

Chris and Alyona are probably going to come late on Tues, stay over, then drive to Vegas on Wed and pick up Jason for their several days of gambling. They love to play Craps. Chris thinks its so much fun he would pay them just to play for 4-5 hours (don't tell the casino he habituates!). Last May Jason won $1000 and Chris $300 or so. That was also the first time I met Alyona - she met them there and then drove up to SLC with Chris, I was in St George with mom and they stopped for lunch, Jason flew back to Indy from Vegas.

Alyona got a salad from CafĂ© Rio and couldn't eat it all, but didn't want to take it back in Chris' car because he doesn't allow food in it, but this time he did. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and she caught him eating a piece of chix in the car after they were married and took a pic of it, for evidence.

Ahhh, wuv, true wuv, was the result of their reconnection.

St George

Rick and Scott drove me down to St George on Sunday. Gary left so early on Monday I didn't even hear him leave.

Doc appointment today for mom, not much else going on.
But I must blog.

Lots of pots

I'm packing to get ready to leave this morning for Utah, so I don't have time to take a pic of all my pots. I love pots.

Last fall I decided I wanted to get an elephant ear plant and put it in a pot and put it in between the 2 garage doors. On Monday I noticed that HEB was putting out a bunch of new pots. Sometimes they have a 20% off coupon there with them, but not often, so I asked them when their next 20% off time would be. They didn't know, they just put it out when corporate, or whoever, tells them to. These pots were nice and a little different from their usual.

Yesterday I went back to get one pot for $30, but lo and behold, a 20% off coupon was there!! A miracle, just when I needed it, there it is!! So I bought the $30 pot, which with the coupon came to $24. Well, who can resist that kind of deal. The cashier had sent 2 men out to help load (actually 1, but when he tried lifting he called for help) and I'm standing there thinking I want that $50 pot also. I told the men to load another one that I pointed to and ran into the store with its sticker to pay for it. When I got back the 2 pots were loaded.

Arrived home, took out the 2 pots (by myself!) and noticed the larger one had a hairline crack running from the top to the middle. I might have seen the crack before, but I wasn't there when the guys loaded it. When Rick got home we drove the $50 pot (which cost $40 with the coupon miracle!!) back to HEB and replaced it with a new uncracked pot.

Now I have a spare pot and need to decide where to place it and what to put in it.

I love pots.
