Spring in St George

The weather here has not gotten too incredibly hot yet. Highs in the 80s, still cools off at night. We drove out to Tuachan a few days ago - saw a lot of pretty catus in bloom, everything still looks so green. And especially against the red rocks, so dramatic looking.

Stella and Macy

These are 2 pics that Rick sent, taken sometime over the weekend of Paige's surprise 30th birthday. Stella is on the train in SouthTowne Mall and Macy is walking outside Tucanos. I could just eat both of them up!!!

Rick said when he left on Mon morning Stella cried and cried, telling Papaw to not leave.
(Can I also mention that I hate change, so when blogger changed the way I blog, I really don't like it. I try to remind myself that it is helping my brain.)

Surprise 30th birthday party

No, not mine. Paige turned 30 on April 22. Everybody came, Jason, Chris, Scott is in Utah, and Rick and I. Kincade had the party on Friday evening. The guys came to St George on Thurs, spent time with Grandmother, and we left for Eagle Mt on Fri at noon. Paige was completely surprised had no idea - Kincade did a good job.

Unfortunately, I left my camera in St George so I have no pics. Sat we looked at motorcycles, and then ate at Tucanos, which I had never done. Quite delicious, but ruins a diet quickly.

Sunday at 5:30 I caught the shuttle back to St George. It was a fun weekend. Wish I had pics.

Spring in Montgomeryville

Things change so quickly. I have only been gone 1 1/2 weeks, and the daffodils are already gone and the new purple things have bloomed. The grass looks much greener also. By the time I return sometime in mid or late May, all the bulb flowers will be gone. I hope I don't miss the 3 blooming trees in our front.

Spring in Utah

I flew to Utah April 2 and spent 1 1/2 weeks with Paige. We had Easter Dinner and egg hunt at the Upstill's on Sunday (we dyed them on Sat at Paige's). Scott had to work so I took his and my dinner over to Walgreen and ate with him. I played with Stella and Macy, saw all their new tricks, which are adorable. Stella slept with me every night - I love seeing her little body next to mine. Macy walks!! She looks so cute walking and dancing, which she loves to do. That is the bad part about living so far away from gkids - missing all the fun stuff.

I just realized I didn't take any pics of them in their Easter dresses, so here with their jamies and baskets will have to do until I get the Easter pics from Paige.

Maine

Last Wed, March 28, Jason flew to Philly, I picked him up from the airport. We went to Reading Terminal Market for lunch; I choose my usual, which is a brisket sandwich on pumpernickel, Russian dressing, and cole slaw.

The next day Rick, Jason and I drove to Maine to visit Chris. The guys all decided they would eat nothing but seafood, and I just wanted delicious food (Jason had lobster for 2 or 3 meals, which he loved, but I choose mostly incorrectly and liked but one - a corn chowder).

Fri Chris was busy with school, so Rick, Jason, and I did some sightseeing.
These are some pics of the Maine coast, and a lighthouse. It was so cold that day.

On Sat Chris joined us and we did more sightseeing. That evening the guys went to the Priesthood Session of conference. Sunday we left for home - all in all an enjoyable trip.

Fri Rick and I got up quite early to walk on the beach, and then along the road where Chris would be driving to school. We saw this most unusual tree with mushrooms growing on it. Rick snapped some quite nice pics of the sunrise.

Shivering in Portsmouth - but they are quite handsome!!
