The wreckers

Rick and Chris went to his new house and ripped out all the kitchen cabinets. Rick cut his hand quite badly and bled "like a stuck pig" to quote him. It was a ton of work, but Home Depot wanted $2-3,000 to do the same thing.

Chris and Alyona returned another day and cracked, pounded up the tile on the floor and backsplash. They punctured, then wet all the wallpaper in the kitchen, and proceeded to scrap it all off.

Oh, and Chris and Rick also ripped out the part of the kitchen doorway that they want to extend and make larger.

The power was supposed to be turned back on yesterday, but wasn't. So tomorrow it's supposed to be back on. Alyona has been tearing up a lot of plants and greenery she doesn't like in the front and back yard, then planted a garden. But without electricity it wouldn't pump water, and she needs to keep it watered.

The gas was supposed to be turned on sometime between 8am and 6pm today, someone just needed to be there to let them it. Chris understood they would call and give notice before arriving. They called at 2pm, I rushed over there, the person had left a note saying they were there at 2:05 and couldn't get in. It takes about 18-20 min to get there. So he rescheduled it for Sept 22. I will be home and can go over there; Chris will probably just leave a key, which he didn't want to do (leaving the house unlocked with a lot of expensive equipment) but will probably do on the 22 if he wants to get gas turned on.

They have met several neighbors, seems like a super friendly street.
