Easter

Paige had everyone over on Fri after school for the annual dyeing of the Easter eggs. Cathie and Rich, Stephanie and kids all came. It was quite fun and I was so happy to be here and able to participate.

All the siding on the grass is from the wind storm on Thurs eveing/night. It was so fierce it actually blew off most of the siding from one side of their house.

I had the perfect opportunity to go to a sunrise Easter service yesterday. It was in Cottonwood Heights at a Presbyterian church. The service started at 7am, which meant I left the townhouse at 6:15. No problem finding the place. It was ourdoors with the mountains in the background. Chairs were set up and a fire was crackling in a firepit. The people and pastor were super friendly.

A man was singing Christian hymns about Easter, another on a keyboard, before it started to set the mood. The pastor opened, I followed along in the program. Some congregant participation, many songs that we sang. The pastor's sermon was all about Jesus. Quite lovely. At the end he asked for people from the congregation to tell their needs for prayer and many people responded. The total attending was about 20-25.

It was a wonderful experience. Loved the mountains as the backdrop with the sun rising. Very symbolic.
