Indy and Utah

Rick and I left for Indy last Wed at 6:30 flight. I had an appointment with a cardiologist to check out the murmur and hole, but no probs, made it completely back in time. And then our flight was delayed 20 min or so. We got into Indy and to Jason's at 1am or something.

Got up the next day, went to see Pat at the hospital. She didn't look well and was quite disoriented. The more and more I see life and death - the more and more I don't totally disagree with the thesis of the people of The Giver. Life is precious and a gift, but it sure can be miserable at times.

I can't remember if we saw Fred and Barbara on Thurs and Fri, so nice to get to see them and spend time with them.

Jason had bought the roasted chicken as I asked, so I made some chicken bone broth. We also went to Georgetown Health Food Store; I really liked it, it had a some of stuff that I can't get at Sprouts or Whole Foods. Wish I could.

We quite enjoyed our time with Jason, Fred and Pat, and also got to see Brian and the 2 younger girls.

On Sunday morning off to Utah, it was the morning of the Indy 500, so traffic was a mess; luckily we got out ok.

Arrived at Scott's, I sure do love that townhouse, then we all went to see Paige and Family. She hadn't told the ggrrls we were coming so they were super surprised and excited. Rick and I enjoy seeing our kids and ggrrls. That is what brings us happiness.

Mon morning Rick, Scott and I got up for a walk, then Paige and fam met us at the townhouse for a BBQ, swimming at the pool, and trying to kayak, but it being a Holiday weekend, was busy and we didn't want to wait the 30-45 min for them to become available. We had already had a busy, hot, and tiring, but fun day.

Tues the ggrrls came over and we finally got to go canoeing, played at one of the parks. It had a zip line, long slide, and a fun creek with rocks and small dams. The ggrrls really splashed and played. We are paying over $700 a quarter for the HOA at Daybreak and I always wondered what we were getting for the money - a lot as it turns out.
